Colorful Lees Ferry Rainbow Trout

Vibrant Lees Ferry Rainbow Trout Caught & Released on the Colorado river in Arizona.

Although originally stocked and not native to  this part of the Colorado River, The Rainbow trout at Lees Ferry are now mostly a wild and self-sustaining population. The Bows here are also famous among fly fishers for their vivid colors and feisty fighting ability.  The average size trout caught at “The Ferry” is approximately 14 inches with bigger fish up to 20 inches plus.
